Here at Hockey’s Farm we are fortunate enough to be located in the New Forest National Park, an area of outstanding natural beauty. We take our environmental and social responsibilities very seriously for the benefit of our visitors, our neighbours and our employees. The land is not ours, it belongs to the future and we will work tirelessly to maintain that philosophy through our thoughts, actions and deeds.

The Green Tourism Business Scheme

http://www.green-tourism.com/

This scheme is the leading green tourism certification scheme in the UK. Businesses whom  join the scheme are inspected and assessed by a qualified assessor against a rigorous set of criteria including energy and water efficiency, waste management, biodiversity and much more. After assessment if the businesses meet the required standard they are awarded Bronze, Silver or Gold based on the level of achievement. Hockey’s have been awarded the Gold level. On Hockey’s first assessment they were awarded a Silver level and advised that they were very close to Gold with some minor changes.

By choosing to visit a Green Tourism member you are supporting a business that cares about the environment and social responsibility and is always working hard to achieve higher standards.

Green Tourism is one of the most rigorous certification programmes of its kind. It is the only one that is independently validated by the International Centre for Responsible Tourism (ICRT) on behalf of VisitEngland, VisitWales, and the Northern Ireland Tourist Board, and is endorsed by VisitScotland and Failte Ireland.
