Our Story

Have you visited us recently?

In November 2013, Laura and Jonny Burrell and Anne and Robin Norris, Laura`s parents, bought Hockey`s Farm and its shop. It was a move that saw the farm transfer from one family to another. Hockey`s Farm Shop now specialises, once again, in selling its own homegrown meat, locally produced beef and a wide selection of locally produced goodies to create that perfect meal.

About Us

All of the meat sold at the farm is either our own, or produced by Andrew, our family friend in St. Ives, just outside Ringwood, or simply sourced with the utmost care. Excellent animal husbandry, British, and free from horrible chemicals, processes and growth hormones is the criteria that Nathan, our butcher, uses when he selects the meat we sell here at Hockey`s. Our prices are affordable; the meat we sell is excellent quality, tasty and succulent.

In June 2014 the Farm Shop extension was completed; our shop now stocks every day provisions, freshly baked bread and pastries, newspapers, local fruit and vegetables and a well-chosen selection of wines and local beers. Lavazza coffee is served and a relaxing glass of wine or beer can be enjoyed on the lawn or under the cover of the `old museum`.

A visit is always made even more enjoyable when wandering round the farm to see Dotty and Daisy, the orphan lambs, the British Lop pigs, the chickens and ducks, the birds in the aviary and of course, Nemo, our New Forest foal.

Hockey`s Farm Shop is an independent, family business which supports the local community and local producers. We pride ourselves on good service, a friendly approach and all that is traditional in a farm shop.

We look forward to seeing you, either at the farm or when we deliver to you.
